Bringing light to lives in darkness.

Through faith and skilled hands, we restore sight to the poor in Guerrero, Mexico living in preventable blindness. We help them see the world, their loved ones, and the life before them once more.

Our Calling

For nearly twenty years, Mission of Healing Eyes has brought compassionate eye care to Guerrero, Mexico - one of the country’s poorest regions, where access to medical specialists is limited and cataract blindness often goes untreated.

Dr. Jim and Molly Conahan began the mission in 1997 with their young family, never imagining how fully God would multiply their efforts. What started as a one-time glasses clinic to help a handful in need has grown into a lifelong mission of mercy.

With surgical volunteers, donated supplies, and the support of a local clinical team, the mission has helped thousands regain their sight, and with it, the ability to provide, to move more freely in daily life, and to look to the future with hope.

Dr. Jim, a board-certified ophthalmologist, brings decades of surgical expertise. Molly leads with compassion and steadfast organization, ensuring every mission runs with grace and purpose.

This work is more than medicine. It is the living out of our faith, the answering of Christ’s call to serve, and a testament to the belief that in giving, we are made whole.
