2021 | April

Doing a cataract mission during COVID was a challenge for both our volunteers and our patients. We needed to ensure everyone’s safety while maintaining efficient, high-quality surgery — and we were able to do just that, all for God’s glory.
Our small, efficient team upheld the same high standards of safety we use at my surgery center in the United States. Between April 10–17, 2021, we performed 101 vision-restoring cataract surgeries — all free of charge for the blinded poor.
The dedication of our team to deliver care during COVID was truly remarkable. Very few missions in the world were operating at that time. I’m deeply thankful that God provided us the opportunity to continue His mission.
