1,000 people seen in the clinicTwenty four volunteers flew to Zihuatanejo, Mexico and were joined by several local interpreters, some who showed up because they heard we were coming. It produced a kind of kinship and a sense that we all belong to each other. Not serving the other, but being with the other. The quenching of a thirst we all long for, for both them and us. It was awesome, and I think God was (and is) smiling.
Remember the Christmas song: “Long lay the world in sin and error pining until He appeared and the soul felt its worth.” Well, He appeared and we all felt our true worth.
