During this Mission of Healing Eyes trip, volunteers completed 124 sight restoring surgeries and witnessed a powerful miracle when a blind diabetic man regained perfect vision in both eyes after an unexpected opening in the schedule.

In November 2013, the Mission of Healing Eyes team cared for 800 patients and restored sight through more than 150 cataract surgeries, implementing a new “model of compassion” that increased efficiency and deepened the mission’s impact.

In April 2013, Mission of Healing Eyes volunteers completed 130 cataract surgeries and witnessed the transformation of a 14 year old girl whose restored confidence reflected the joy of sight regained.

In 2012, Mission of Healing Eyes volunteers completed over 230 surgeries across two missions, witnessing extraordinary patient resilience and experiencing the profound truth that they received far more than they gave.

In October 2011, Mission of Healing Eyes volunteers completed 190 cataract surgeries, served 1,000 patients, and experienced a profound sense of kinship and shared dignity with the people of Zihuatanejo.

During the June 2011 Mission of Healing Eyes trip, volunteers treated patients who traveled nine hours from mountain villages, witnessed a woman speak for the first time in years after cataract surgery, and experienced the profound truth that in serving others, they themselves were transformed.

In October 2010, a team of 20 Mission of Healing Eyes volunteers served 800 patients and completed 145 cataract surgeries, witnessing once again the grace and humility of the poor who help save us in return.

In May 2010, a team of 23 Mission of Healing Eyes volunteers restored sight through 48 cataract surgeries, cared for 400 patients, and distributed 3,000 pairs of glasses in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
